COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State women's soccer head coach Lori Walker was named to the U.S. Under-20 selection and evaluation committee for the CONCACAF qualifying tournament Jan. 18-27 in Veracruz and Córdoba, Mexico. Walker is assisting in the selection of 20 team members from a national pool of 30 to represent the United States.
The CONCACAF (The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) qualifying tournament is an eight-team event with the United States slotted in the Group B category.
Earlier in the week, Buckeye forward Lisa Collison (Fr., Niagara Falls, Ontario/Burlington Flames) was selected to compete on the Canadian Under-20 National Team. Collison has been training with the national team since Dec. 28 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in preparation for the tournament. Canada is in Group A.
During training camp, Collison saw action in two friendlies and compiled one goal and three assists.
