COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tiffany Cameron, a senior on the 2012 Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been selected to play for the Canadian Women’s National Team in the Yongchuan Cup - Four-Nation Women’s Tournament in China. Cameron was called to Canadian Women’s National Team camp in December.
Canada opens play against China Jan. 12 before a Jan. 14 match against Korea Republic and the finale against Norway Jan. 16. All three matches will be played at Yongchuan Olympic Center.
Cameron, a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection and 2012 NSCAA second team All-American, left Ohio State as the Buckeyes' all-time leading goal scorer with 40 and while tallying 96 career points, also the most in school history. The senior from Mississauga, Ontario, led the Buckeyes with 21 goals in 2012, shattering the previous school record of 13. Cameron’s nine game-winning goals were the most in the country and her 19 career game-winners are tied for fourth-most in Big Ten history.
