Columbus, Ohio – Hannah Hites and Catherine McNutt, members of the Ohio State women’s rowing team, are two of 12 Ohio State student-athletes scheduled to travel to the Dominican Republic from Dec. 15-19 for an international service-learning experience. The Department of Athletics, SASSO and Buckeyes Go International are partnering with Soles4Souls for the fifth time.
“I’m really looking forward to immersing myself in another culture and serving the community,” Hites said. “It’ll be really cool to be able to represent our sport and school in such a special way.”
“I’m grateful for the chance to work alongside other Ohio State student-athletes in this wonderful international opportunity,” McNutt mentioned. “Soles4Souls does amazing things and I’m looking forward to helping them.”
Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing.
