The Ohio State rowing team concluded its fall season last Saturday hosting Michigan State, Notre Dame and Indiana in its annual fall scrimmage on the Scioto River at Griggs Reservoir.
The teams competed in a best of five competition with each race consisting of three even eights. Ohio State raced an additional fourth eight among the group of third eights. The first and third eight won all of their races with the second eight winning three out of five. Michigan State won the other two.
The day concluded with the 2011 Big Ten Championship ring ceremony in the Scioto room of the Griggs Reservoir boathouse. The 2010-11 team was presented their rings in front of a crowd of parents and current and former rowers. Each individual boat was honored with a recap of their performance at the Big Ten Championship.
The Buckeyes will return to action against Notre Dame March 24, 2012 on the Scioto River.
