Senior Erika Benford Participates in 2010 World Rowing Masters

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Erika Benford, who will be a senior this fall for the Ohio State rowing team, participated in the 2010 World Rowing Masters in St. Catharines, Canada, Sept. 2-5. Rowing with the Greater Columbus Rowing Association, Benford and her crews garnered two victories.

The Buckeye from Dublin, Ohio, first led the four to a 3.43-second win, clocking in at 3:47.06. Finishing second was the Barnes Bridge Ladies Rowing Club, which finished in 3:50.49. Rounding out the Top 3 was the Marin Rowing Association (3:52.38).

In the mixed eights, Benford and crew finished in 3:20.61, outlasting runner-up SCRC Comp. by 1.61 seconds (3:22.22). Finishing third was Western Reserve, who crossed the finish line in 3:32.23.
