COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State alumna Holly Norton won a silver medal as the stroke seat of Great Britain’s Women’s Four Friday at the 2015 World Rowing Championships in Aiguebelette, France.
Norton, along with teammates Rebecca Chin, Karen Bennett and Lucinda Gooderham, crossed the finish line in a time of 6:31.52, finishing second behind the gold-medal winning team from the United States (6:25.22).
Norton, a two-time All-American and two-time NCAA individual champion with the Ohio State First Varsity Eight, enjoyed an outstanding summer with Team GB after helping the Buckeyes to a third consecutive NCAA title in May. Prior to joining the British Senior National Team for the world championships, Norton, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, won a silver medal as the stroke seat of the Women’s Pair for Great Britain at the Under-23 World Championships in July.
