Ohio State Rower
March 9, 2012
The Ohio State rowing team continues to work hard to raise money for "Team Meghan," a campaign formed to assist 2009 and 2010 Buckeye synchronized swimming letterwinner Meghan Kinney in her fight against Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.
Members of the rowing and synchronized swimming teams created the "Team Meghan" initiative and through the sales of teal "Team Meghan" wristbands, both squads, in addition to the assistance of other Buckeye teams, have raised $4136.18 this year to help the Kinney family off-set the costs of treatment.
Most recently members of the rowing team collected donations and sold wrist bands during the Ohio State men's hockey games February 3-4 at Value City Arena. Although Kinney has completed her journey through chemotherapy the efforts from Team Meghan continue.
