2014 (Senior Season): Rowed as a member of the First and Second Varsity Eight throughout the season … opened the season rowing for the first varsity eight with a win (6:21.36) over No. 12 Michigan at Griggs Reservoir March 29 … earned Big Ten Boat of the Week honors (April 8) with the first varsity eight after claiming two wins at the Oregon State Classic April 5 at Dexter Lake in Lowell, Ore., the first (6:24.70) over No. 11 Stanford and No. 9 Michigan and the second (6:24.50) over Stanford, Michigan, No. 20 Oregon State and Duke … claimed first place (6:42.40) over Indiana, No. 19 Louisville and Iowa at the Big Ten Challenge April 12 in Iowa City, Iowa … earned two wins at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge April 19 at Belleville Lake in Ann Arbor, Mich., the first over No. 9 Notre Dame (6:36.0-6:48.27) and the second over No. 4 Virginia (6:32.6-6:42.17) … defeated Michigan State (6:43.77-6:59.13) and No. 17 Louisville (7:08.87-7:26.50) May 3 at Belleville Lake in Ann Arbor, Mich. … with the 2V8, earned the boat’s second-consecutive conference title at the 2014 Big Ten Championships at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind., with a time of 6:38.09 … captured the 2V8’s second-consecutive NCAA title with a first-place finish (6:59.43) at the 2014 NCAA Championships at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind. … Big Ten Sportsmanship Award ... 2013 (Junior Season): Rowed as a member of the First Varsity Eight in every race of the season ... earned Big Ten Boat of the Week honors (April 9) ... opened the season with a second-place finish (6:43.8) at Princeton on March 30 ... claimed two wins at the OSU Invitational April 6 at Griggs Reservoir; the first over Tennessee (6:52.7-7:23.7) and the second over No. 13 Notre Dame (7:09.28-7:21.26) ... captured a first-place finish (7:33.9) at the Big Ten Duals April 13 in Ann Arbor, Mich., over No. 13 Michigan, Michigan State and Indiana ... opened the Clemson Invitational at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. with a second-place finish to No. 3 Virginia (6:24.1-6:27.0) ... followed that performance with a pair of wins; the first in the second session (6:14.8) over Clemson, Miami (Fla.), Penn, Texas and Central Florida and the second (6:40.1) over UCLA, Minnesota, Oregon State, Texas and Central Florida ... defeated No. 8 Harvard-Radcliffe (6:53.29 -6:56.98) May 4 at Griggs Reservoir ... placed first at the 2013 Big Ten Championships at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind., with a time of 6:29.46, helping to capture the Buckeyes' fourth Big Ten championship ... placed third at the 2013 NCAA Championships (6:23.19) at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind., clinching the program's first national team title.
2012 (Sophomore Season): Opened the season with the Second Varsity Four, defeating Notre Dame (7:30.4-7:49.13) at Griggs Reservoir on March 24 ... earned two wins against No. 7 Yale (7:14.81-7:28.66) and No. 11 Michigan State (7:13.39-7:41.80) at Griggs Reservoir on March 31 ... as a member of the First Varsity Four, earned wins against Wisconsin and Minnesota in Bloomington, Ind., on April 7 with times of 6:57.4 and 6:59.6, respectively ... defeated Oklahoma (7:37.20-8:13.07) in the morning session and Tennessee and Oregon State in the afternoon session with a time of 7:44.42 in Ann Arbor, Mich. on April 14 ... tallied two wins over No. 14 Harvard and No. 19 Clemson with a time of 7:38.47 on April 28 at Griggs Reservoir ... won a Big Ten championship in Indianapolis on May 13 with a time of 7:01.815 ... won the program's first ever NCAA Championship at Lake Mercer, N.J. on May 27, crossing the line in 7:13.09.
2011 (Freshman Season): Competed with novice team during season ... rowed to a win with First Novice Eight at ACC/Big Ten Challenge hosted by Buckeyes; group outlasted Clemson with time of 7:49.14 ... finished runner-up at Big Ten championships in Indianapolis, Ind., with 1N8; recorded 6:37.0 time, placing Buckeyes ahead of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, Iowa and Indiana ... Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State: Rowed with Dublin Crew (2006-10) ... honored for rowing excellence as a novice (2007) ... earned most improved honors as a varsity team member.
