COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three Buckeyes have been named to the 2015 IWLCA All-Midwest/West Region team. Seniors Jackie Cifarelli and Taylor Donahue were named to the first team while classmate Katie Chase was named to the second team.

These three individuals are part of the all-time winningest class in program history with 45 wins and helped the 13-8 Buckeyes to consecutive NCAA tournaments for the first time since 2002-03.

Cifarelli, a 2015 All-Big Ten selection, started all 21 games for the Buckeyes this season, recording 18 goals and 54 assists for a team-best 72 points. She ranks first in the Big Ten and second in the NCAA with 2.6 assists per game and recorded 10 games with at least three assists. Her 72 points is fourth-best in the Big Ten with 3.4 per game. Cifarelli, Ohio State's all-time leader with 179 career assists, was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team after recording eight assists and a goal in the three games, including a goal and four assists in the championship game vs. Penn State.

Donahue, a tri-captain, also started all 21 games for the Buckeyes from her defender position. She recorded 26 caused turnovers on the year, which was fifth best in the Big Ten. She recorded a season-high five caused turnovers vs. Niagara and also had a team-high 33 ground balls, including four each vs. Duke, Hofstra and Niagara and two in the win over No. 1 Maryland.

Chase, also a 2015 All-Big Ten selection, started all 20 games in which she played, recording an Ohio State single-season record with 59 goals to go along with 11 assists. Chase recorded 16 multiple-goal games, including seven straight down the stretch where she amassed 24 goals in her final seven games -- five of those coming against ranked opponents, including three in the win over No. 1 Maryland. She currently ranks third in the Big Ten and 15th in the NCAA with 2.95 goals per game and is third in the Big Ten with 3.5 points and second with 3.95 draw controls. Chase also was named to the 2015 Big Ten All-Tournament Team after recording 11 goals and three assists in three games. She is just the second Buckeye to ever record at least 150 goals and ends her career as Ohio State's all-time leader with 221 draw controls.
