Junior Tori DeScenza leads the ALC in save percentage this year

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Tori DeScenza, a junior goalie on the No. 10 Ohio State women's lacrosse team, earned her second American Lacrosse Conference weekly honor of the season after being named ALC Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday. The native of Sea Bright, N.J., DeScenza helped lead the Buckeyes to a 12-9 win over then-No. 9 Notre Dame last week in Columbus.
DeScenza, a 2012 ALC second team honoree, collected 11 saves, including seven stops in the first half in the team's third Top 10 win of the year last week in Columbus. DeScenza improves to a season-best 12 wins in 2014, holding the Fighting Irish to an 0-for-5 mark in free attempt shots, while collecting a season-best .488 save percentage, facing 29 shots against Notre Dame.

The Buckeyes conclude the 2014 regular season traveling to play in a Top 10 showdown at No. 9 Johns Hopkins at 2 p.m. ET Saturday in Baltimore, Md. The ALC contest will be televised live on ESPNU.
