Student-Athlete Spotlight: Jennifer Porretto, Women's Lacrosse
Jennifer Porretto is a senior midfielder on the women's lacrosse team. A two-time captain, Porretto has played in more than 70 games in her Buckeye career. This season she is third on the team with 45 points and was named the Big Ten offensive player of the week March 16 after recording a career-high 10 points and 7 assists in the victory at Canisius. For her career she has recorded 91 goals, 27 assists, 73 ground balls, 48 draw controls and 36 caused turnovers. Off the field, Jennifer is an OSU Scholar-Athlete and was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll last season. She is on pace to graduate in May with a degree in Sport Industry.
Porretto and the Buckeyes are ranked No. 16 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Top 20 poll and are 11-5 on the season heading into their regular-season finale at No. 7 Northwestern this Saturday.
