Seven players helped clean up the Sea Bright, N.J., shoreline after Hurricane Sandy.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's lacrosse team will host "Donate a Dime" in support of Hurricane Sandy relief efforts when it takes on Hofstra at 11 a.m. Saturday on Bert and Iris Wolstein Field at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Fans will be encouraged to donate a dime after each Buckeye goal with 100 percent of proceeds going to an organization dedicated to hurricane relief efforts. This is a cause close to the hearts of many on the OSU squad, especially Tori DeScenza whose hometown of Sea Bright, N.J., was estimated to have some 1,028 homes damaged in the super storm, including her own.
Players and coaches also will don black armbands in honor of their friends, families and neighbors in affected areas.
After the storm, seven women's lacrosse players - Kelsea Ayers, Tori DeScenza, Taylor Donahue, Mary Kate Facchina, Jessica Hassett, Hallie Keselman and Jennifer Porretto - participated in storm cleanup efforts in Sea Bright.
