Rookie goalie Karly Kocis made nine second-half saves to preserve the victory between the pipes, while classmate Sara Schlagenhauf earned the start and was credited with the win (1-0). St. Bonaventure is predicted to finish in 8th place in the Atlantic 10 conference according to the preseason coaches poll.

LAST TIME OUT
Ohio State dominated American last Sunday, defeating the Eagles 16-4 to give head coach Alexis Venechanos and her staff their first win as Buckeye coaches. Three OSU players - Alayna Markwordt, Brittney Zerhusen and Jayme Beard - scored three goals apiece as the Buckeyes improved to 1-2 on the season and American began its year 0-1. The Buckeyes finished the day with a 24-14 advantage in shots and a 14-8 margin in draw controls, marking the third game in a row they have out-drawn the opponent. Annie Carruthers played 53 minutes in goal, making six saves with three goals-against, before giving way to Megan Fiorito who made one stop in the final seven minutes.
