COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-8 decision to the No. 16 Northwestern Wildcats Thursday night on a chilly, windy and drizzly evening at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Northwestern (7-6, 3-0) scored the first three goals and five of the first six to led 6-2 at halftime. The Buckeyes (6-9, 0-4) closed the gap to 7-4 on back-to-back goals by Paulina Constant and Molly Wood, but NU responded with two straight goal of their own to push the lead to five with 21 minutes left.
Erika Keselman's goal at 18:41 cut it to 9-5 before the Wildcats score four straight to take a commanding lead, 13-5, with 10 minutes to go.

Wood and Sage Darling led Ohio State with two goals each while Mackenzie Maring, Keselman, Constant and Baley Parrott each added one.
Jillian Rizzo led made 11 saves in goal for the Buckeyes. NU's Mallory Weisse picked up the with six saves on her end.
Danita Stroup led NU with six goals while Shelby Fredericks had three goals and three assists.
Ohio State is back in action at Noon next Saturday at No. 1 Maryland.
