Ohio State Edged 2-1 in Wisconsin

No. 8 Wisconsin outlasted the No. 9/10 Buckeyes Saturday night at LaBahn Arena in Madison by a score of 2-1.

Junior forward Ally Tarr scored the lone Ohio State goal for the second-consecutive night with a strike at 14:11 of period two to tie the game at 1-all. Sophomores Kari and Sara Schmitt tallied the assists on the play for the Buckeyes.

Alev Kelter put the Badgers up a goal at 9:59 of the third period to make it a 2-1 final.

Redshirt junior goaltender Chelsea Knapp stopped 28 shots for the Buckeyes while Wisconsin’s Alex Rigsby made 26 saves.

Ohio State (14-7-1, 9-6-1 WCHA) returns home next weekend to host St. Cloud State at the OSU Ice Rink, Jan. 18-19.
