No. 9/10 Ohio State fell 4-1 to eighth-ranked Wisconsin Friday night at Labahn Arena in Madison.

Junior Ally Tarr tallied the lone score for the Buckeyes, her fourth of the season, with assists going to senior Tina Hollowell and and junior Kara Gust.

Redshirt junior goaltender Chelsea Knapp had 24 saves on a night in which Wisconsin outshot the Buckeyes 32-24, while Wisconsin goaltender Alex Rigsby stopped 23 of 24 shots faced.

The game stayed scoreless until 16:47 of the second period when Madison Packer put the Badgers out front 1-0. Brianna Decker made it a two-goal advantage with a shorthanded goal at the 3:04 mark of the third period.

Tarr’s score cut it to a 2-1 deficit, but Wisconsin added another shorthanded strike from Alev Kelter and a power play goal from Decker to make it a 4-1 final.

The Buckeyes finished 0-5 on the power play, while the Badgers were successful on one of three opportunities.

Ohio State (14-6-1, 9-5-1 WCHA) and Wisconsin (13-6-2, 9-6-2 WCHA) will play the series finale Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
