Brittany Carlson joins the staff as an undergraduate assistant coach after spending four seasons as a defenseman with the Buckeyes from 2009-12.
Carlson, a product of Hudson, Wis., suited up for the scarlett and gray 142 times in her playing career and tallied 15 points on three goals and 12 assists. Carlson was three times named WCHA All-Academic and Academic-All Big Ten and was named a WCHA Scholar-Athlete twice.
"It is always a good thing when you can have alums around your program," Nate Handrahan, Buckeyes head coach, said. "Brit will get a ton of experience in a lot of areas such as video, travel planning, practice development and player skill development in her first exposure to coaching. It is important to us to continue to cultivate the next generation of female coaches to be in our great game."
