Played in 35 games during her rookie campaign... scored first-career goal Dec. 7 against Minnesota... put 22 shots on goal... credited with 44 blocked shots.

Prior to Ohio State:Ranahan was a defenseman for the Okanagan Hockey Academy for three seasons... she served as team captain of OHA during 2013 and assistant captain the season prior... named OHA team MVP during the 2012 season... Ranahan was selected to the 2012-13 Team Canada women's under-18 national team and won gold at the U18 World Championships... also played for Team BC for two seasons, serving as assistant captain in 2013.

Personal: Daughter of Pat and Debbie Ranahan... has five older siblings... other hobbies include hanging out with her family and softball... lists greatest sports thrill as going to OT against Team USA at the U18 World Championships and winning gold for Team Canada.
