2015-16 (Junior Season)

Named a captain for the 2015-16 season … played in 35 games, scoring one goal and adding 10 assists … her first and only goal of the season came against North Dakota on Feb. 20 … had two assists against Minnesota State on Oct. 23 … had an assist and was +2 in Ohio State’s win over then-No. 6 North Dakota on Nov. 14 … had an assist and was +3 on the ice during the team’s season-opening sweep of Lindenwood … featured in the Columbus Dispatch’s Meet a Buckeye section; a link to the article can be found here

2014-15 (Sophomore Season)

Appeared in all 36 games for the Buckeyes during her sophomore season... tallied one goal and seven assists for eight points... her assist and point totals were the highest for any returning defenseman... notched three assists against Minnesota State on Feb. 6, marking a career-high... had four points total during the Feb. 6-7 Minnesota State series while also earning a +4 rating on the ice.

2013-14 (Freshman Season)

Played in 35 games during her rookie campaign... scored first-career goal Dec. 7 against Minnesota... put 22 shots on goal... credited with 44 blocked shots.

Prior to Ohio State: Ranahan was a defenseman for the Okanagan Hockey Academy for three seasons... she served as team captain of OHA during 2013 and assistant captain the season prior... named OHA team MVP during the 2012 season... Ranahan was selected to the 2012-13 Team Canada women's under-18 national team and won gold at the U18 World Championships... also played for Team BC for two seasons, serving as assistant captain in 2013.

Personal: Daughter of Pat and Debbie Ranahan... has five older siblings... other hobbies include hanging out with her family and softball... lists greatest sports thrill as going to OT against Team USA at the U18 World Championships and winning gold for Team Canada.
