No. 13 Ohio State Garners No. 3 Seed at Big Ten Championships, Sarah Miller Named First Team All-Big Ten
March 19, 2012
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 13 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team will be the No. 3 seed at the Big Ten Championships Saturday in Iowa City, Iowa. The Buckeyes will be competing in the second session at 7:05 p.m. ET in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Nebraska earned the No. 1 overall seed while Penn State garnered the No. 2 seed.
The team also received more good news as sophomore Sarah Miller earned first team All-Big Ten honors for the second consecutive season. A two-time Big Ten Gymnast of the Week selection in 2012, Miller has posted team season highs for the Buckeyes on vault and balance beam. The Collegeville, Pa., native recorded career best scores of 9.950 twice on both events, first Feb. 18 against Denver and again March 2 against Kent State.
