MILLER EARNS FOURTH B1G AWARD
Sarah Miller was named Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week, the conference office announced Jan. 28. The award marks the 12th career Big Ten weekly honor and fourth of the season for the Collegeville, Pa., native.
Miller won or tied for three event titles as the Buckeyes posted a season-high 195.975 in a dual meet against Nebraska. The junior tied her career best with a 9.950 to take the beam title while tying for first with a 9.925 on vault and a 9.900 on floor exercise.
Miller earned second team All-America honors on balance beam and floor exercise last season while Dean garnered second team All-America honors on floor exercise. The duo became the seventh and eighth All-Americans in Ohio State women’s gymnastics history. It is the first time the Buckeyes have had multiple All-Americans in the same season. DeLuca is a two-year letterwinnner who posted career bests of 9.850 on bars and 9.875 on floor exercise a year ago.
