No. 20 Ohio State Hosts Illinois as Part of Double Dual at St. John Arena Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 20 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team hosts No. 18 Illinois at 4 p.m. Saturday in St. John Arena. The meet will be a double dual with the Ohio State men’s team. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available on OhioStateBuckeyes.com. Ohio State students are free with valid Buck-ID. Ohio State topped Michigan State, 195.575-194.250, last Saturday in East Lansing. Aly Marohn tied for first in the all-around with a 39.075 after she took the uneven bars title with a 9.875. IN THE RANKINGS As a team, the Buckeyes are 18th nationally on balance beam (48.746) and 21st on vault (48.975) and uneven bars (48.839). Individually, Sarah Miller is 11th nationally on balance beam. MILLER EARNS FOURTH B1G AWARD
Miller won or tied for three event titles as the Buckeyes posted a season-high 195.975 in a dual meet against Nebraska. The junior tied her career best with a 9.950 to take the beam title while tying for first with a 9.925 on vault and a 9.900 on floor exercise. DEAN, MILLER & DELUCA CAPTAINS Miller earned second team All-America honors on balance beam and floor exercise last season while Dean garnered second team All-America honors on floor exercise. The duo became the seventh and eighth All-Americans in Ohio State women’s gymnastics history. It is the first time the Buckeyes have had multiple All-Americans in the same season. DeLuca is a two-year letterwinnner who posted career bests of 9.850 on bars and 9.875 on floor exercise a year ago. UP NEXT |
