COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 19 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team hosts No. 16 Rutgers at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 19 Ohio State posted a 194.750 to open the season in a meet against No. 12 Oregon State and Bowling Green Jan. 11 at St. John Arena. Oregon State won the meet with a 195.200 while Bowling Green finished third at 191.950.
IN THE RANKINGS
Ohio State is one of six Big Ten teams ranked in this week’s GymInfo poll. Nebraska is tied for sixth, followed by No. 8 Michigan, No. 13 Illinois, No. 19 Ohio State, No. 24 Minnesota and No. 25 Michigan State.
The Buckeyes sit 14th on bars, 18th on vault and 25th on balance beam. Individually, Melanie Shaffer is tied for 16th in the all-around and tied for 17th on bars while Sarah Miller is tied for 11th on beam.
B1G PRESEASON POLL
Ohio State was picked fifth in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced Dec. 12. In addition, seniors Sarah Miller and Melanie Shaffer have been named Gymnasts to Watch in the conference.
Michigan was picked first followed by Nebraska, Minnesota, Penn State and Ohio State. Illinois, Michigan State and Iowa rounded out the poll.
OHIO STATE SIGNS FIVE FOR 2015
Ohio State head coach Carey Fagan announced the signing of three gymnasts to National Letters of Intent during the November early signing period. Megan Feltham (Lewisburg, Pa.), Heather Hannon (Indianapolis, Ind.), Taylor Harrison (Newport News, Va.), Alexis Mattern (Harrisburg, Pa.) and Stefanie Merkle (Waterloo, Ontario) each signed NLIs with Ohio State for the 2015 season.
The Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor to face Michigan at 4 p.m. Jan. 25.
