No. 14 Ohio State Hits the Road to Take On No. 9 Oregon State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 14 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team travels to Corvallis, Ore, to face No. 9 Oregon State at 10 p.m. ET Friday. The meet will be televised live on Pac-12 Network. The Buckeyes defeated Bowling Green, 194.600-192.200, last Saturday at Anderson Arena while the Beavers posted a 193.600 to earn a third place finish in the Cancun Classic last Friday. MILLER PICKS UP B1G AWARDS Miller won event titles on vault, beam and floor exercise, tying her career best with a 9.950 on vault, as the Buckeyes opened the season with a 194.600-192.200 victory at Bowling Green. The awards mark the ninth and 10th career Big Ten weekly honors for the Collegeville, Pa., native. IN THE RANKINGS The Buckeyes will take on another ranked team, No. 9 Oregon State, Jan. 11 in Corvallis, Ore. B1G PRESEASON POLL
Nebraska was picked first followed by Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Minnesota. Illinois, Iowa and Michigan State rounded out the poll. OHIO STATE SIGNS THREE FOR 2014 DEAN, MILLER & DELUCA CAPTAINS Miller earned second team All-America honors on balance beam and floor exercise last season while Dean garnered second team All-America honors on floor exercise. The duo became the seventh and eighth All-Americans in Ohio State women’s gymnastics history. It is the first time the Buckeyes have had multiple All-Americans in the same season. DeLuca is a two-year letterwinnner who posted career bests of 9.850 on bars and 9.875 on floor exercise a year ago. UP NEXT |
