COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Buckeye Katja Pogacar carded an even-par 72 in the final round of Ladies European Tour qualifying Wednesday at Lalla Aicha Tour School in Marrakech, Morocco. Pogacar finished the event at the desert-style Palm Golf Ourika course at 6-under to tie for 19th and earn her Ladies European Tour card for 2018.
Pogacar opened the tournament with a 1-under 71 Saturday before a second-round 72 and a three-under par 69 in the third round. The Ljubljana, Slovenia, native posted another 1-under 71 in the fourth round before wrapping up the event with another even-par round. Pogacar will become the first European Tour representative from Slovenia when she tees it up in 2018.
Pogacar was a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection and a two-time second team All-Big Ten pick while at Ohio State. A two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and three-time WGCA All-American Scholar, Pogacar finished her season ranked in the Top 100 nationally by Golfstat (No. 68) and Golfweek (No. 89).
