COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team will travel to Wilmington, N.C., to participate in the 2012 Landfall Tradition held at the par 72, 6,138-yard Jack Nicklaus Course/Country Club of Landfall, Oct. 26-28.
The three-day event is hosted by UNC Wilmington and features 12 teams ranked in the Top 50 GolfStat head-to-head rankings. Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. ET Friday.

THE BUCKEYE LINE-UP
Leading the squad this weekend are seniors Amy Meier, Rachel Rohanna and Susana Benavides. Junior Allison Harper and sophomore Jan Chanpalangsri round out the lineup, while sophomore Claudia Lim will compete as an individual.
LAST YEAR AT LANDFALL
At the 2011 Landfall Tradition, the Buckeyes placed third in a field of 18. Paula Reto of Purdue took home the individual title and led the Boilermakers to a first-place team finish. Purdue returns to the links this year to defend their title.
Rachel Rohanna and Amy Meier finished in the Top 20 for the Buckeyes. Rohanna came in tied for 13th with a 229, while Meier was tied for 16th with a 230.
LAST TIME OUT
At the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic on Oct. 15-17, the Ohio State women’s golf team placed sixth led by senior Amy Meier who tied for seventh overall after carding a 3-over 219.
Sophomore Jan Chanpalangsri tied for 18th overall, carding a 9-over 225 after totaling a 77 on the final day. Senior Susana Benavides and junior Allison Harper tied for 47th overall as each totaled a 230. Sophomore Claudia Lim finished the tournament with a 233.
The squad takes a break from competition before returning to the course in February to start the spring schedule. Ohio State is set to host its annual Alumni Match in West Palm Beach, Fla., Feb. 3.
Oregon Gets Past the Buckeyes, 3-2
