COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State's women golf team is westward bound to participate in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Norman, Okla., Oct. 15-17. Hosted by Oklahoma, the Buckeyes and seventeen other collegiate teams will play on the par 72, 6,232-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club during the two-day event.

THE BUCKEYE LINEUP
Highlighting the Buckeyes lineup are seniors Susana Benavides and Amy Meier. Junior Allison Harper and sophomores Claudia Lim and Jan Chanpalangsri have also secured spots on the five-person squad.
In 2011, Oklahoma captured the team championship by one stroke over Texas Tech. The individual champion, junior Sooner Anna Tanguay, returns to the field this year to defend her title. This is Ohio State's first outing at the Susan Maxwell Berning Classic.
LAST TIME OUT
At the Windy City Collegiate Classic, the Buckeyes finished in 10th in a field featuring ten top 50 teams ranked by Golfstat. Senior Rachel Rohanna finished first among the Buckeyes with a 7-over 223 to tie for 20th. Fellow senior Susana Benavides tied for 34th while classmate Amy Meier ended the tournament tied for 40th.
Ohio State will compete in the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., Oct. 26-28, to close out the fall season.
