COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State women's golf head coach Therese Hessionannounced the team's 2013-14 schedule Wednesday. The Buckeyes host two tournaments in the spring, including the 34th-annual Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational at The Ohio State University Golf Club - Scarlet Course.
The season kicks off with the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich., Sept. 14-15. The Buckeyes follow with the Windy City Collegiate (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) and the Diane Thomason Invitational (Oct. 12-13) before closing out the fall at the competitive Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., Oct. 25-27.
Ohio State opens the spring with its own Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The 19th-annual tournament will take pace in Palos Verdes, Calif., Feb. 9-11. The team closes out February in Arizona at the Westbrook Spring Invitational.
The heart of the spring season has the Buckeyes traveling to the Lady Gator Invitational (March 14-16) and the always tough Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C., March 28-30. The squad travels to Jacksonville for the Web.com Collegiate at the start of April before returning to Columbus for the 34th-annual Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational (April 19-20). The tournament, held on the Scarlet Course, has been won by the Buckeyes 14 times.
Postseason begins April 25-27 with the 2014 Big Ten Championships held in French Lick, Ind., at the French Lick Resort - Donald Ross Course. The Buckeyes will then look to qualify for their 20th-straight NCAA Regional appearance (May 8-10). The season concludes May 20-23 in Tulsa, Okla., at the NCAA Championships.
