COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State women's golf head coach Therese Hession announced the squad's 2012-13 schedule Monday. The Buckeyes host two tournaments in the spring, including the 33rd-annual Lady Buckeye Invitational at The Ohio State University Golf Club - Scarlet Course.
The fall opens with the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., Sept. 17-18. Ohio State then travels to Chicago for the Windy City Collegiate (Oct. 1-2) before heading to Norman, Okla., for the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic (Oct. 15-17). The Buckeyes conclude the fall schedule in North Carolina, competing at the Landfall Tradition (Oct. 26-28).
Ohio State kicks off the spring schedule in February and will once again play host to the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The 18th-annual tournament will take place in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., Feb. 11-13. The Buckeyes travel to New Orleans to close out the month, playing in the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, Feb. 24-26.
The team will get a taste of the tropics, traveling to Honolulu for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, March 13-14. Ohio State then plays in the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational (April 5-7) before hosting the 33rd-annual Lady Buckeye Invitational (April 20-21). The tournament, held on the Scarlet Course, has been won by the Buckeyes 14 times with the last coming last season.
Postseason begins April 26-28 with the 2013 Big Ten Championships held in French Lick, Ind., at the French Lick Resort - Donald Ross Course. The Buckeyes will then look to qualify for their 19th-straight NCAA Regional appearance (May 9-11). The season concludes May 21-24 in Athens, Ga., at the NCAA Championships.
