COLUMBUS, Ohio - Five former members of the Ohio State women's golf team competed this past weekend in a pair of events. Buckeye In Hong Lim took part in her first LPGA event in Mobile, Ala., while Amy Meier, Rachel Rohanna, Emma Jandel and Susana Benavides each teed off at the Friends of Mission Charity Classic of the Symetra Tour in Asheville, N.C.
Lim ('11), who earned LPGA Tour status in December, competed in the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic May 16-19. After opening with a 77, Lim rebounded with a 1-over 73 in the second round to conclude the tournament.
Meier, Rohanna and Jandel each made the cut at the Friends of Mission Charity Classic held May 17-19. Meier, who finished her eligibility with Ohio State at the beginning of May, tied for 31st overall with an even 216 following rounds of 73-73-70.
Rohanna (`12) and Jandel (`10) came in tied for 38th with a 1-over 217. Rohanna carded rounds of 71-75-71, while Jandel finished with a 73-70-74. Benavides, who earned her degree at the conclusion of the 2013 spring semester, missed the cut by two strokes, totaling rounds of 76 and 74.
