COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 42 Ohio State women’s golf team is set to begin postseason play at the 2013 Big Ten Championships in French Lick, Ind., April 26-28. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will take place on the par 72, 6,121-yard Donald Ross Golf Course at the French Lick Resort.

Seniors Amy Meier and Susana Benavides highlight the Buckeye lineup, each making their fourth appearance in the conference tournament. Junior Allison Harper and sophomores Jan Chanpalangsri, Claudia Lim and Sheridan Balyeat will also represent the Scarlet and Gray.
HOW IT WORKS
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will begin Friday with 9 a.m. ET tee times. The tournament will continue Saturday and Sunday with tee times starting at 9 a.m. ET. Like the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, it will be a 6-count-4 format for scoring.
BUCKEYES AT BIG TENS
With 11 Big Ten titles, Ohio State leads the league in tournament wins. The Buckeyes have also produced eight tournament medalists. Under head coach Therese Hession, the Buckeyes have finished lower than fourth only twice in 20 years. The program’s last league win came in 2005 when the squad was led by medalist Kristen White.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Throughout the season, Ohio State has faced nine of the other 11 Big Ten teams at some point this year. The Buckeyes are 10-9 against league schools.

BIG TEN BACKTRACK
In the 2012 installment of the Big Ten Championships, the squad placed third with a 54-hole score of 898. Michigan State won the event with a team score of 885.
Former Buckeye Rachel Rohanna finished tied for third overall with a 218, while Susana Benavides, Claudia Lim and Jan Chanpalangsri each came in tied for 20th with a 229. Amy Meier concluded the weekend tied for 25th at 230.
RECAP: LADY BUCKEYE SPRING INVITATIONAL
The Buckeyes closed out the regular season with a fourth-place finish at their own Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational last weekend, carding a 54-hole score of 919. Ohio State totaled a 304 on the final day of the 33rd annual tournament played on the par 72, 6,268-yard Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club.
Senior Amy Meier picked up her third-consecutive appearance in the Top 5, placing second to lead Ohio State with an 8-over 224. Junior Allison Harper tied for seventh overall to earn her best individual finish this season, while sophomore Jan Chanpalangsri earned a career-best individual finish as she tied for 13th.
BY THE NUMBERS
Ohio State has competed in nine tournaments and one dual this season, holding a 69-64-2 record. Senior Amy Meier leads the squad with a 74.36 stroke average and has had six Top 20 finishes this season, including three-straight finishes in the Top 5. Senior Susana Benavides is second with a 76.6 stroke average and three Top 20 finishes.
Skies will be cloudy with a high of 64 Friday and a minimal chance for rain. Mostly cloudy skies and a high of 66 is expected for Saturday, while the sky will turn cloudy again Sunday with a high of 70.
