COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team is set to compete in the 2013 Dallas Athletic Club Invitational April 5-7 in Dallas. The tournament, hosted by SMU, will be played at the par 72, 6,301-yard Dallas Athletic Club and features six teams ranked in GolfWeek’s Top 50 teams.

The Ohio State lineup features two seniors, one junior and two sophomores. Seniors Amy Meier and Susana Benavides highlight the group followed by junior Allison Harper and sophomores Jan Chanpalangsri and Claudia Lim. All five Buckeyes have competed in all eight events so far this season.
LAST TIME OUT - LOUISVILLE
The Buckeyes carded a team score of 312 on the par 72, 6,077-yard Cardinal Golf Course in Louisville in a dual vs. Louisville March 23. Senior Amy Meier led the squad with a third-place finish, tallying a 3-over 75. Three Buckeyes finished with a 79 in senior Susana Benavides, junior Allison Harper and sophomore Claudia Lim. Sophomores Jan Chanpalangsri and Sheridan Balyeat finished with an 80 and 85, respectively.
SPRING BREAK SUCCESS
Ohio State earned a second-place finish with a three-round total of 900 at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 12-13. Senior Amy Meier notched a new-career low (215) to finish second at the event and tied for a tournament-best 12 birdies over three rounds. Junior Allison Harper carded a season-low score of 13-over 229 to finish tied for 20th with teammate senior Susana Benavides. Sophomore Jan Chanpalangsri came in tied for 24th with a 15-over 231 and classmate Claudia Lim posted a 16-over 232 to tie for 28th.
MEIER NAMED CO-BIG TEN GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Following her individual second-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 12-13 in Hawai'i, Meier was named Co-Big Ten Golfer of the Week. The honor is the first of the season for Meier and the third of her career. Meier carded a 1-under 215 (71-72-72) to take second place individually. Her 54-hole score in the tournament marked a career low and her runner-up finish was a career best.
BY THE NUMBERS
As individuals, Ohio State has posted two second-place finishes this season. Senior Amy Meier has claimed four Top 20 finishes and leads the Buckeyes with a 74.26 average. The Buckeyes are averaging 303 strokes per round with their team-low total score of 887 coming at Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in the fall campaign.
Six Buckeyes were honored as Ohio State Scholar-Athletes Monday at the 46th-annual Scholar-Athlete Dinner. Senior Amy Meier earned her fourth academic honor and was joined by Kendall Allen, Sheridan Balyeat, Jan Chanpalangsri, Allison Harper and Claudia Lim.
Ohio State will close out the regular season as host of the 33rd Lady Buckeye Invitational April 20-21 in Columbus. Round one of the Big Ten Championships is slated to start April 26 in French Lick, Ind.
