COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Amy Meier of the Ohio State women's golf team was named Co-Big Ten Golfer of the Week the conference announced Thursday. The honor is the first of the season for Meier and the third of her career.
The Rochester Hills, Mich., product led the Buckeyes to a second-place team finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 12-13 in Hawai'i. Meier carded a 1-under 215 (71-72-72) to take second place individually. Her 54-hole score marked a career low and her runner-up finish was a career best. Overall, Meier totaled 12 birdies over three rounds, including five in the first round.
Up next, the Buckeyes will compete in the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational April 5-6 in Dallas.
