No. 28 Buckeyes Move Up on Second Day of Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The No. 28 Ohio State women's golf team capped the second round of the Landfall Tradition Saturday, carding a 13-over 301. The Buckeyes moved up in the rankings to tie for ninth overall with a 41-over 617 on the par 72, 6,997-yard Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall.
Alabama continues to lead the tournament, coming in with a 2-over 301 on the day. The Crimson Tide stands at 1-under 575 over two rounds. Alabama senior Stephanie Meadow finished on top of the leaderboard again, finishing with a 1-under 71 in the second round highlighted by a hole-in-one on par-3 13th. Meadow has a two-day total of 3-under 141 to lead the field.
Ohio State freshman Katja Pogacar led the way for the Buckeyes and is tied for 30th after carding a 4-over 76 Saturday. She has a two-day total of 9-over 153.
Freshman Ileen Domela and Jan Chanpalangsri rounded out the team score for the Buckeyes with scores of 79 and 75, respectfully. Domela will enter the final round tied for 52nd, while Chanpalangsri is tied for 58th. Competing as an individual is junior Sheridan Balyeat, who carded an 85 on the day and has a two-round total of 172.
The Buckeyes will conclude the final round of Landfall Tradition Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
