QUOTABLE
"I just told the team I believe in them," Therese Hession said in an interview with Golfweek. "They're as good as any team out there."

"A lot of times our schedule and the time of year we play it, it doesn't look so good," Hession said on playing through tough weather conditions this week. "But that's all about building lessons and learning for a moment like this."

Fellow fourth-year Buckeye, Rio Watanabe, was pivotal in the Buckeye advancement. The redshirt junior rebounded from an opening-round 82 to shoot 75-74 and seize a piece of 45th place at 15-over.

Sophomores Jaclyn Lee and Niki Schroeder were close behind, coming out of the 54-hole weather-wrecking gauntlet at 16-over (232) and both tied for 50th.
