COLUMBUS, Ohio – Final preparations for postseason play are underway at the OSU Golf Club’s Scarlet Course this weekend (Apr. 15-16) as the Ohio State hosts the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational to wrap up the 2016-17 regular season. The Buckeyes are slotted fifth out of 12 teams following 36 holes played on Saturday. Ohio State is nine shots back from event-leading and 20th-ranked Texas (+13).
Senior Katja Pogacar finds herself inside the individual Top-10 as co-owner of 10th place at 4-over (73-76). Her 28 pars are the highest total in the 75-player competition. Rio Watanabe, playing as an individual, is tied for second in that category after posting par on 27 of 36 holes. She is tied for 13th place overall, sharing that position with teammate Jaclyn Lee at 5-over. Watanabe went 75-74 while Lee notched subsequent scores of 73-76.
