Ohio State Finishes Third at SunTrust Gator Women's Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio-- The Ohio State women's golf team earned its third Top 3 finish of the season, taking third at the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational with a three-day total of 875. The Buckeyes registered rounds 292, 288 and 295 on the par 70, 6,002-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville.
Arizona captured the team title with a 26-over 866. Miami's Daniela Darquea soared up the individual leaderboard on the final day after carding a 67. She finished first with a 4-over 214.
Senior Allison Harper and freshman Zoe-Beth Brake earned finishes in the Top 10 to lead the Buckeyes. Harper, of Upper Arlington, came in seventh overall with a 7-over 217. She totaled a 74 on the day to go with rounds of 73 and 70. Brake tied for eighth overall with an 8-over 218 (72-73-73) and totaled five birdies in three rounds.
Freshman Jessica Porvasnik concluded the tournament tied for 21st, carding an 11-over 221 (73-72-76). Classmate Katja Pogacar finished with a 74 on the final day to go with earlier rounds of 75 and 73. Her 12-over 222 placed her in a tie for 27th.
Juniors Claudia Lim and Jan Chanpalangsri finished tied for 49th and tied for 62nd, respectively. Lim totaled a 228 and had a team-best six birdies over three rounds. Chanpalangsri, competing as an individual, had a three-day total of 235.
Ohio State will travel to Greensboro, N.C., for the competitive Bryan National Collegiate, March 28-30.
