Ohio State Second with One Round Remaining in Hawai'i

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's golf team concluded day one of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in second with a two-round score of 596 Tuesday on the par 72, 6,099-yard Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course in O'ahu, Hawai'i.
Arizona leads the field of 16 teams with a 6-over 582 and Wildcat Manon Gidali is first individually with a 3-under 141.
Senior Amy Meier finished the first day in a tie for second with a 1-under 143. The Rochester Hills, Mich., product opened with a 1-under 71 and concluded the day with an even 72. After starting off with four bogies to start round two, Meier rebounded with four birdies to finish even. She leads the team with nine birdies through 36 holes played.
Classmate Susana Benavides is tied for 15th overall with a 5-over 149, carding an even 72 and a 77. Junior Allison Harper totaled an 8-over 152 and is tied for 23rd, while sophomore Jan Chanpalangsri is tied for 25th with a 9-over 153. Sophomore Claudia Lim finished the day tied for 33rd with an 11-over 155.
Round three kicks off with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. ET/ 8 a.m. PT in O'ahu.
