No. 33 Buckeyes in 13th after First Round of Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The Ohio State women's golf team concluded the first round of the 19th-annual Northrup Grumman Regional Challenge 13th with a 19-over 303. The competitive 16-team tournament is being played on the par 71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif.
Baylor is atop of the team leaderboard that consists of 14 Top 50 teams with a 2-over 286. Southern Cal's Annie Park carded a solid 4-under 67 in the first round to lead the individual leaderboard.
Junior Jan Chanpalangsri totaled a 3-over 74 and is tied for 28th to lead the Buckeyes. The Bangkok, Thailand, product carded a team-best three birdies on the day. Freshman Jessica Porvasnik finished with a 4-over 75 for the Buckeyes and is tied for 39th overall.
Competing as individuals for the Scarlet and Gray are freshmen Zoe-Beth Brake and Ileen Domela. Brake, playing in her first collegiate tournament, carded a 78. Domela finished with a 79 in the first round.
Round two kicks off Monday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT off of holes No. 1 and 10.
