Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team has worked its way up to No. 23 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll that was released on Tuesday (Sept. 5).
The Buckeyes own a record of 2-1 in 2017 including a win over then No. 9 ranked Louisville. Led by first year head coach Jarred Martin, Ohio State reenters the NFHCA coaches’ poll for the first time since 2012. The Buckeyes are one of six Big Ten teams to be ranked inside the Top 25.
Two of the Buckeyes’ next three opponents are currently ranked in the Top 25. Ohio State travels to face off against Miami (OH) on Friday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. ET before traveling east to take on No. 19 Wake Forest in Winston Salem, N.C. on Sunday (Sept. 10). The following weekend, the Scarlet and Gray will open up Big Ten play with a road contest against No. 14 Northwestern.
