Ohio State hosts Maine on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. at Value City Arena. This will be the Buckeyes first home game in two weeks and it will be just the second meeting between the two teams.

NOTING OHIO STATE

  • After four games away from home, the Buckeyes return to Value City Arena to host Maine on Sunday, Dec. 3.
  • This will be the second meeting between the two teams.
  • The Buckeyes are in the top-10 in the country in scoring at 90.2 ppg and have topped the century mark twice this season.
  • Kelsey Mitchell leads the country in scoring at 27.3 ppg and has also made the most three-pointers of any player in the country with 40.
  • Mitchell passed Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis of UConn on Nov. 24 to become the NCAA DI all-time career three-point leader. She has made 408 in her career.
  • Mitchell is just 19 points away from tying Jantel Lavender for most points in OSU history. Lavender scored 2,818 points from 2008-11.
  • Stephanie Mavunga and Linnae Harper are the only pair of teammates to each have at least four double-doubles this season. Mavunga has notched five and Harper four.
  • Mavunga is grabbing an average of five offensive rebounds per game which leads the conference and her 11.8 rebounds per game overall are second-best.
  • Mavunga has also blocked at least one shot in eight of the nine games.
  • Harper is nearly averaging a double-double this season and has notched at least two steals in all nine games so far.
  • Asia Doss is third in the Big Ten with a 3.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. She has also had four steals in two of the last three games.
  • Head coach Kevin McGuff notched his 100th win as Buckeye head coach on Nov. 23.
  • OSU is averaging 10.1 three-point field goal makes per game which is tops in the conference.

 

Series History vs. Maine

  • Sunday's game will be just the second meeting all-time between Ohio State and Maine.
  • The Buckeyes won the previous meeting, topping the Black Bears 93-64 in the 1995 Preseason NIT. That game was played in Columbus.
  • This will be head coach Kevin McGuff's first game against Maine.
