COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s basketball announced times and TV assignments for four of its non-conference games on Thursday. Three of the games will be televised on ESPN 2 and the fourth on ESPNU.
The first of these games will take place on Sunday, Nov. 12 against Louisville as part of the Countdown to Columbus. The Buckeyes and Cardinals will play at 4 p.m. on ESPNU. That game follows the UConn and Stanford contest which is slated for 1:30 p.m.
The second game is the Buckeyes’ ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup with Duke. Tipoff for the showdown in Durham on Nov. 30 is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be shown on ESPN 2. This is just the second contest all-time between the two women’s basketball powers as they also met in Durham in 2009.
The Dec. 17 game at Cincinnati has also been selected to air on ESPN 2 and will tip-off at 4 p.m. The Bearcats home gym, Fifth Third Arena, is undergoing renovations this season and a site for this game is still being determined. The game will also serve as a final homecoming for senior Kelsey Mitchell who played with her sister Chelsea at Princeton High School in Cincinnati prior to joining the Buckeye program.
The fourth game is the final non-conference game of the season at USF on Feb. 11. Just the second meeting between the two teams will be aired on ESPN 2 and will start at 2 p.m. Ohio State won the only other meeting, which was also in Tampa, 101-74 on Dec. 18, 1982.
The rest of the times and TV assignments will be released later in September.
