Moore Named Assistant Coach at Martin Methodist
Darryce Moore is now an assistant coach at Martin Methodist College.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Buckeye Darryce Moore (2011-14) has started a new career withing the college basketball coaching ranks as she was recently named assistant coach at Martin Methodist College, located in Pulaski, Tenn., under head coach Kyle Bent.
During her four-year career at Ohio State, Moore, who graduated in May with an English degree, played in 106 games with 45 starts. She averaged 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds. As a senior, Moore started 32 of 35 games, recording a career-best 8.5 points and 5.9 rebounds.
During her career at Ohio State, Moore was a member of two teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, including a Sweet 16 run by the Buckeyes during her freshman season.
"I am very excited to have Coach Moore as a part of the RedHawk family," Bent said. "She comes from a great program where she played for some extremely knowledgeable and successful coaches. Her experience at the highest level of college basketball will be invaluable to our program. At Martin Methodist, Moore is expected to help oversee all aspects of the women's basketball program, including recruiting, practice and in-game situations.
