COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State senior guard Tayler Hill has been named to the 30-member Women's Naismith Trophy watch list, awarded each year to the women's college player of the year.
Hill, who also was named to the Wooden Award midseason watch list, is a leading candidate for Big Ten Player of the Year honors. She leads the Big Ten with 22.5 points per game in Big Ten play and is 13th in the NCAA in scoring with 21.0 points in all games.
The Minneapolis native has scored in double-ﬁgures in 60 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the Big Ten and the fourth longest in Division I. She has played 40+ minutes in 12 of 13 Big Ten games and has 16 20-point games, including a career-high 34 points and ﬁve steals in the overtime loss at Iowa.
Hill, the Big Ten's career active scoring leader, has 1,926 career points, good for ﬁfth on OSU's all-time list, and ranks second in FTs made (546) and FTs attempted. Recently, she set an Ohio State record by hitting 14-of-14 free throws Feb. 21 vs. Minnesota.
