Alston Named B1G Player of the Week
Alston earned her first Big Ten player of the week honor Monday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State sophomore guard Ameryst Alston has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week in recognition of her play Saturday at No. 22 Indiana. The Canton, Ohio, native tied a career high with 29 points as Ohio State knocked off the previously unbeaten Hoosiers in Bloomington, 70-51.
Alston shot 62 percent (13 of 21) from the field, dished out four assists and had two steals while playing all 40 minutes. She is averaging a Big Ten-best 36.3 minutes per game and is fourth in the conference in scoring (21.0 ppg) in league play.
The Buckeyes are back in action at 7 p.m. Thursday at No. 15 Penn State before returning home to face Iowa at 3 p.m. Sunday at Value City Arena. Both games are on BTN.
