MADISON, Wisc. – Ohio State jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a 96-68 victory at Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes have won seven-straight games and are 21-5 overall and 11-1 in conference play.

Kelsey Mitchell was 11-of-13 from the floor on the day, including 6-of-8 from long range, to finish with 32 points. The 32 points, which was one off her season-high, came in just 25 minutes of action.

Stephanie Mavunga also did her thing, recording her 11th double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Tori McCoy also finished in double-figures with 11 points and eight rebounds. Fellow freshman Kiara Lewis scored just three points but tied a season-high with six assists.

The Buckeyes shot 47 percent for the game and notched 20 assists in a game for the seventh time this season.

Cayla McMorris and Suzanne Gilreath led the Badgers with 14 points apiece.

Behind Mitchell, the Buckeyes came out firing and would take as much as a 14-point lead in the opening quarter and led 25-11 at the end of one. The OSU pressure continued in the second quarter as Ohio State built a 49-29 lead through two quarters. The Buckeyes turned 10 Badger turnovers in the first half into 20 points. Mitchell made eight field goals in the first half compared to just seven total for the Badgers as a team.

Wisconsin scored the first two points of the second half but the Buckeyes responded with a 5-1 run and the margin never got below 20 the rest of the way.

The Buckeyes will enjoy a nice eight day break before taking on Iowa at home on Sunday, Feb. 12. Tipoff is set for Noon on BTN.
