OHIO STATE INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Kelsey Mitchell scored a game-high 27 points to go along with a season-high tying six assists and a season-high five rebounds
  • Mitchell was 5-of-9 from long range and is now eighth in school-history with 182 career three-point field goals
  • Mitchell recorded her 1,300th career point in the game and now has 1,303 for her career
  • Ameryst Alston scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds, marking her ninth 20-plus point game this season
  • This was the 10th time this season that Mitchell and Alston both scored over 20 points in the same game. The Buckeyes are 9-1 this season and 19-3 overall when that happens
  • Shayla Cooper made a career-high four three-point field goals and finished with 16 points
  • Cooper entered the game just 4-of-16 from long range this season
  • Over the last 10 games, forward Alexa Hart is shooting 73.5 percent (61-of-83) from the floor after connecting on 4-of-5 attempts against Purdue
  • Sophomore Asia Doss made her second start of the season and is 2-0 as a starter this year

OHIO STATE TEAM NOTES

  • The win was the third-straight for the Buckeyes against Purdue
  • Ohio State shot a season-best 58.6 percent (34-of-58) from the floor as well as a season-high 56.5 percent (13-of-23) from long range
  • The 13 three-point field goals are the most since canning 16 three-pointers in the win over Belmont on Nov. 19
  • Ohio State closed the game with 30 points in the fourth quarter, marking its sixth 30-point quarter this season
  • The Buckeye defense forced a season-high three shot clock violations which was part of 19 Purdue turnovers. The Boilermakers entered the game averaging just 13.2 per game
  • The Buckeye offense scored 90 points, topping Purdue’s previous high for points allowed which was 72 to Minnesota last Thursday
  • This was the eighth 90-point game this season for the Buckeyes and they are a perfect 8-0 in those games
