COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's cross country squad kicked off the 2013 season with a team trip to Hocking Hills State Park in Hocking Hills, Ohio, lasting from Wednesday to Friday.
Highlights included a 10K run over steep rolling Hocking Hill County road, a 12 mile trail run from Ash Cave to Old Man's Cave and back, an afternoon core and bounding session and a light eight mile run at Logan High School in Logan, Ohio.
"This was a great way for us to begin our preparations for the upcoming cross country season," said Brice Allen, associate head coach for Ohio State men's track and field. "We will get back at it again tomorrow and start up again with two-a-days on Monday."
The season officially gets underway August 31 at the Flyer 5k Challenge in Kettering, Ohio.
