COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Donny Roys closed his Ohio State career with a 118th-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky., Saturday afternoon.
A native of Medina, Ohio, Roys crossed the finish line in 30:53.6, five seconds off of a personal best. Kennedy Kithuka of Texas Tech won the individual title in a time of 28:31.3. Oklahoma State captured the team title with 72 points.
"Donny gave it his all today, and we are extremely proud of all he has accomplished this season," Ohio State distance coach Brice Allen said after the race. "He was a great leader to a very young team, and we are excited to see what he does this coming track season."
