COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country team concluded its 2014 season with a 10th-place finish out of 30 teams at the 10k NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday afternoon in Madison, Wis.

The Buckeyes’ Top-3 runners all finished within the Top 55 of the overall standings. Senior Jackson Neff led the way with a 37th-place time of 31:00 (5:00 mile pace). Junior Blake Taneff was 41st in 31:07, while freshman Mitch Leitch turned in a 53rd-place finish in 31:22.

Junior Curtis Hanle (65th, 31:33) and freshman Clayton Bowie (81st, 31:56) completed the scoring five for the Buckeyes. All five scorers for Ohio State ran personal-best 10k times.

Ohio State closed the meet with a team score of 277. No. 6 Wisconsin won its 12th regional title in the last 13 years on its home course with a score of 62. No. 27 Michigan State clinched the second automatic bid to the national championships with a runner-up score of 82. 12th-ranked Michigan was fourth with 94 points.
