WATCH: Tomasello Previews NWCA All-Star Classic
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nathan Tomasello will represent Ohio State in the NWCA All-Star Classic tomorrow, taking on West Virginia’s Zeke Moisey in a rematch of last March’s 125 lb. NCAA final. Tomasello recently spent some time with OhioStateBuckeyes.com, discussing his run to the NCAA title last year, expectations in 2015-16 and the opportunity to compete in the NWCA All-Star Classic.
The NWCA All-Star Classic, presented by the Wresters in Business Network, will air live on ESPNU beginning at 5 p.m. The event is an annual showcase of the nation’s top college wrestling stars in a dual meet format that’s kicked off the college wrestling season since 2004. It was previously a post-season or late-season event.
Over the course of the event, Ohio State has been represented 19 times, most recently by four-time NCAA champion Logan Stieber. Buckeye wrestlers have gone a combined 9-9. The first Ohio State wrestler to compete in the event was current Notre Dame College head coach Frank Romano, who wrestled at 118 pounds in 1970.
