Stieber Nominated For ESPY! Vote Now!
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Four-time NCAA champion Logan Stieber is a nominee for an ESPY in the category of Best Male College Athlete, ESPN announced today.
The 2015 Ohio State Athlete and of the Year and Big Ten Jesse Owens Male Athlete of the Year, Stieber will go against Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, Wisconsin basketball player Frank Kaminsky, Boston University hockey player Jack Eichel and Vanderbilt baseball player Dansby Swanson. Fans will select the winner by voting online at ESPN.com. Voting begins today and continues through July 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
The 2015 ESPYS, hosted by Joel McHale, air live on ABC Wednesday, July 15th at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Past winners of the Best Male College Athlete award include Tim Tebow (2008, 2009), John Wall (2010), Kevin Durant (2007) and Cael Sanderson (2002).
Stieber, from Monroeville, Ohio, capped his record-breaking career in March by becoming just the fourth wrestler in NCAA history to win four national titles. In the process, he also helped the Buckeyes to their first NCAA team title in the 94-year history of the sport in Columbus. The first wrestler in Big Ten history to win four NCAA titles, he also earned the prestigious Dan Hodge Trophy, presented annually to the nation's top wrestler and considered to be the Heisman Trophy of wrestling.
At the NCAA Championships in March, he etched his place in history in dominant fashion, winning four of his five matches by a combined score of 57-9 while adding a pin in the other win. Stieber ended his career on a 50-match winning streak while compiling a career mark of 119-3, the highest winning percentage (.975) in school history.

Stieber is one of three Buckeyes up for an ESPY this year, joining Cardale Jones (Breakthrough Athlete of the Year) and Urban Meyer (Best Coach/Manager).
